from Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, for “Reducing Subgroup Differences in Personnel Selection through the Application of Machine Learning”, which was published at Personnel Psychology. According to SIOP, the Jeanneret award recognizes “a written work with high potential to further the understanding and practice of individual or group assessment in the workplace, especially when such assessment supports the creation of a diverse workforce.”
Social Justice Best Paper Award
from INFORMS Information Systems Society, for “Fairness of Ratemaking for Catastrophe Insurance: Lessons from Machine Learning”, which was published at Information Systems Research. According to the founders of this award - Drs. Ravi Bapna and Anindya Ghose, this award fosters and encourages high quality research that makes an impact towards improving social justice outcomes.
Research Highlight
from Communications of the ACM in 2020 and ACM SIGMOD in 2019, for “Efficient Signal Reconstruction for a Broad Range of Applications”. Research highlights are awarded to “outstanding research articles selected from the broad spectrum of computing research”.
