On April 9, 2024, Dr. Heng Xu was invited, along with Rayid Ghani (Carnegie Mellon University) and Santiago Garces (Boston’s Chief Innovation Officer), to speak at an event titled “Navigating the AI Landscape: Strategies for State and Local Leaders,” organized by the National Academy of Sciences’ Board on Human-Systems Integration. The session provided a platform to discuss AI’s impact on state and local governance, the opportunities and challenges involved, and the need for informed decision-making.
