On August 22, 2024,Dr. Heng Xu moderated a discussion session titled “AI Peer-to-Peer Series: AI and State and Local Government Services and Equity,” organized by the National Academy of Sciences’ Societal Experts Action Network. This event was attended by state and local decision-makers from across the U.S. and focused on the potential for AI to support government services, build transparency, and ensure equitable benefits for historically marginalized populations.
